Just wondering why you didnt use 2 of those extenders to make sure it was lined up? And why didnt you chuck it in the lathe to weld it up?

Hey Donn, quick bit of advice from an old machinst… When you put a cylinder on the chuck like that, tighten it a small bit then tap it onto the chuck with a lead hammer. Then you will know that it is tight and flat up against the chuck face. It will increase the precision of your machined parts when you make sure they are knocked tightly up against the chuck before completely tightening the chuck. Great video, as always. 😉
